Taking apart Resmiranda
It’s 4:00 PM central time, and now Resmiranda is being disassembled for transport to Gainesville tomorrow. Until then!
No commentsD&D campaign: Done, Gainesville tomorrow
Katie, Katharine, Liz and I finished Katie’s nifty campaign last night, err… this morning at 1 AM. Actually, Liz had to go home at 8, but we plodded along without her for the sake of getting done before more people leave.
It was cool. I’ll try to explain later, but today I have much to do, e.g. visit Sandestin and pack. So… bye!
No commentsLife continues, and so does the count-down
Six days until I head back to Gainesville.
We’ve been playing a lot of D&D lately. It’s great! Well, actually, we played last night and the night before, despite foolish tropical storm Bonnie that barely gave us any rain. While Bonnie gave us no trouble whatsoever, Charley went onshore right south of my roommate’s home town. I do hope that all’s well there, but knowing him even had his house been destroyed he would have built a new shelter complete with anti-aircraft guns by now…
Presently installing Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, but probably going to go to bed immediately following that…
I’ve scanned Liz’s box art / publicity poster for Pizza Delivery Jedi and begun digitally cleaning it up. You’ll get to see it soon-ish.
That is all for now.
2 commentsI don’t know what the bobcat I’m doing
I’m about 60 frames farther (~1.5%) in the rotoscoping and wondering what I’m doing. It’s not like this movie has had a very positive reception by anybody who wasn’t directly involved in making it. I’m rotoscoping simply because I have nothing better to be doing. Adding lightsabers isn’t going to repair the badly written plot and incomprehensible jokes.
and I have no idea how to set fire to all the tree branches Crumu and Vengef kept hitting during their fights. Nor do I know how to add a nasty cut to Vengef’s arm after the Crumu’s lightsaber clips her. Though that’s two thousand frames farther than I am currently, so I don’t expect I should be worrying about that yet.
Sonufa.

No commentsWedding: Thumbs up, After Wedding: Thumbs up
Stephanie and Nolan done got hitched, a-yup. All went well. After the wedding we reconvened over here until nearly Sunday to play Chez Geek, Ninja Burger (the card game) and watch Comic Book: The Movie.
(I have cute little videos of both Stephanie and Nolan taking the first dance at the reception and the flower toss. Let me know if you’d like either one.)
Chez Geek and Ninja Burger both took a long time to play one round; I suppose it was part ineptness from most of us and part Saturday Night Syndrome. Between the two games we found pizza and laughed at most of the jokes in Comic Book: The Movie (excepting Liz, who laughed at all of the jokes! Go Liz!).
Now I have to figure out what to do with myself today. *sigh*
6 commentsOff to retrieve Theresa
In about 10 hours I’ll be hopping on the interstate with Katie en route to sunny Gainesville, FL for a long-duration day trip. We’re heading that way to pick up Theresa for Stephanie’s wedding Saturday. Speaking of, I still don’t know where the reception is being held, but I can luckily follow the people ahead of me instead of going through the trouble of consulting a map myself.
It’s an unbeatable combination!
The level of awesomeness of this week’s Nodwick cannot be stated in the English tongue. So let me use Simbiari: “wahni wihu wagji!”
*chuckles* Dinosaur-riding Ninja Pirates!
No commentsAxis and Allies:: Triplea
I have seen the enemy of efficiency and now it returns to haunt me further. I have found the Triplea project which sought to implement the Axis and Allies rules in an open source game. Chris and I used to play A&A moderately often in my earlier youth… I love this game. It just takes so long to finish sometimes. But now I can play with friends over the Internet, or play by email… man-o-man…
Also awesome: It’s extensible. I can implement the Supremacy rules, map and units. That’s gonna rock.
No commentsHint for Odette’s admirers
If anyone out there is looking for a solid way into Katie’s very good graces, all you need to do is sponsor a paleontologist’s dig.
