Book 6 to be released 16 July 2005
So, the Half-Blood Prince plot from book 2 was pulled and made into book 6. Interesting… Anywho, mark your calendars you HP fans.
Axis and Allies, on Computer, with Chris and Theresa
I’m playing a board game on three computers in my room in a sort of LAN party. We started playing Axis and Allies the board game but decided that since the computer version takes care of the logistics well *and* we have Theresa’s computer, Chris’s laptop and this computer (Mom’s) in my room, we could just network them all and play the open source, java version. So that’s what’s going on right now - The Japs have cried “Climb Mt. Nitaka” and attempted to attack Hawaii, but a smart move on the part of the Brits h put a submarine in the way of the impending attack.
J.C. is playing the British and the Russians, Theresa is F.D.R., and Chris is the Axis.
Fun, eh?
O Holy Tire
I picked up a massive road spike (1/4″ thick, unknown length) sometime in the past week on Pugmobile’s front right tire. I went and did my full car pre-trip inspection this morning and saw this metal cylinder poking out of my front-left tire. The thing was too large to be able to just patch the tire, so I had to buy a new one this morning which required the tire place to *find* me a new one. This is especially fun since I have expensive 2003-model Firestone Firehawk GTA low profile racing tires, and thus spent $110 on a new chunk of steel belted rubber this morning (and $30 in labor). So I was two hours late getting on the road and only got here 1 hour before my final exam for Data Structures. Now busy, but I thought I’d take a moment to relate my morning reiteration of Katie’s lesser known IB mantra: “Tests + Stress = Stressts!”
I don’t think the above paragraph makes sense. Oh well.
No commentsMy name’s in the New York Times
Mine is one of the thousands of names in the Firefox Advertisement in the New York Times today, Thursday 16 December 2004. As this article at ZDNet states, anyone who donated to get that ad in the paper also got their name put in the advertisement as an extra bit of “cool!” Mine is split across two lines, but you can find it without too much trouble if you look at this massive PDF and scan across the right hand margin. The names are alphabetized by surname, so look for the Joneses and you’ll see a J.C. (next line) Jones.
Exam for Data Structures is over, still very busy. Now studying for my Probability exam tomorrow at noon.

Back in Gainesville right now. Very busy. Two exams to take, one in 30 minutes, one tomorrow, then heading back to FWB. Must blog about ice skating soon, but no time now.

Something for you trekkies out there - A Star Trek Fan Series! Star Trek: New Voyages is a… fan series online! I haven’t had time to watch any episodes yet, but feel free to preempt me.
Take care, all.
1 commentHeading to FWB Now, two days early
I quite helpfully was allowed to take two of my exams early, the two that are tomorrow. So I’ve a clean slate to leave 2 days earlier than expected.
Thursday until Wednesday I’ll be in Nebraska. You’ll have to call my cell if you want to get in touch with me.
Until later.

Grandma Jones died today. Or yesterday maybe, I don’t know.
I need to see if I can take my two exams which are scheduled for tomorrow today. Will do so as soon as I post this. It seems that my week off before my next exams is going to be spent in Hastings.
Not sure if there will be snow, Katharine.
