M(B)TA & the Charlie Card

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (formerly known as the MTA, or Metropolitian Transit Authority) uses a smartcard system named the Charlie Card. If you don’t get the reference, disregard this message. :)

    Thinking about this again…naming their cards after Charlie is either really funny or really ominous. That is, I expect the idea is that if Charlie had had one, he wouldn’t have had a problem.

    But what if it makes us all end up like Charlie? Will we ever return? What will become of us?
